TransitFleet was developed based on experience working with transit properties. There is easy access for data entry and lookups frequently used on transit properties. TransitFleet provides features most useful in a transit environment:
· operator defect reporting and work order generation
· road call tracking
· transit specific scheduling: OEM PM schedules, component PM's, wheelchair lift PM's, state inspections
· easy lookup of last time and frequency of specific tasks; e.g., rear brake reline
· National Transit Database (NTD) maintenance reporting
· cross referencing of parts inventory numbers for OEM's, aftermarket parts suppliers, and house numbers
· transit specific inventory capabilities: part number supersessions (full tracking history), core returns, unit rebuilds, and kit capability (as kit, kit assembly, kit breakdown)
· data entry from a fuel sheet typically used by transit properties, as well as automated fuel interfaces with fueling systems in use at transit properties
· meter changeouts, histories maintained by life-to-date mileages
· use of alternative fuels
· setup, entry, and tracking for campaigns, recalls, and seasonal work
· tire lease reporting
· tracking of maintenance work or services by outside vendors
· billing capability for warranty work, insurance work, or work charged to other departments or external customers
The cost for implementation and on-going software support for TransitFleet is comparable to software that does less or is not as easy to use and is far less than software that has comparable features and capabilities.
