SRTA/Union St Bus Compnay implementing TransitFleet
TransitFleet is being implemented at Union St Bus Company, the contract operator for Southestern Regional Transit Authority (SRTA) fixed route and demand response transit service in New Bedford and Fall River MA. TransitFleet will track maintenance and inventory at both New Bedford and Fall River garages. Purchasing is done primarily in New Bedford with parts transferred to Fall River; all inventory purchases, issues, and transfers will be tracked at both garages. The TransitFleet implementation will include an interface with the Gasboy fueling system and the transfer of approved invoices via an automated interface with the Dynamics GP (Great Plains) accounts payable module

Fixed Assets module for transit
Fixed Assets module for transit now available. StarTran Software now offers a fixed assets module for transit systems that is integrated with TransitFleet and can be integrated with accounting systems. The module tracks which grants were used to purchase each asset and depreciates assets. Reports include fixed assets inventory, depreciation reports, account distribution, and acquistion and disposal listings.

Valley Transit implements TransitFleet
Valley Transit in Appleton WI implemented TransitFleet in production use as of December 1, 2009. Valley Transit, a department of the city of Appleton, operates fixed route service in Appleton and six surrounding Fox Valley municipalities with a fleet of 40 buses. Valley Transit has been using FLEET*MATE for vehicle maintenance and inventory and all FLEET*MATE data was converted such that TransitFleet could be seamlessly implemented in production use with no data reentry.

North East implements TransitFleet
North East Transportation Company implemented TransitFleet in production use as of October 1, 2009. North East Transportation provides fixed route and paratransit service in Waterbury, Meriden, and Wallingford CT under contract to Connecticut DOT. North East operates 39 fixed route buses and 43 paratransit vans in revenue service. North East converted all data from FLEET*MATE which had been in production use since 1989. The implementation includes all standard vehicle maintenance, inventory control, purchasing, and tire module features and capabilities of TransitFleet as well as a custom report to allocate costs and mileage to the fixed route and paratransit services in each of the three service areas.
